Zacardi Renye Louis Cortez is an American gospel musician and Christian artist. Born on 17 September, 1985, in Houston, Texas, U.S., he began singing in church at age five and was mentored by gospel legend John P. Kee from age eight. He gained early recognition for his contributions to James Fortune & FIYA’s radio hits like “Let Your Power Fall” and “I Believe” before launching his solo career. He is recognized for his dynamic and soulful delivery in traditional and contemporary gospel music.
Zacardi Cortez has released music through Blacksmoke Records and WorldWide Records. More recently, he has launched his own company, ZetRoc Entertainment, which partners with Black Smoke Music Worldwide for releases. His albums “The Introduction” (2012), “REloaded” (2014), and “IMPRINT: Live in Memphis” (2022) have charted on Billboard. He continues to release new projects, including the EP “Ibhar: He That Is Chosen (Chapter 1)” in May, 2025, and is a frequent presence at major gospel events.
