Born on 27 December, 1979, in Mobile, Alabama, U.S., he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in music with an emphasis on piano. He is recognized for his unique blend of country, hip-hop, and pop, often incorporating clever wordplay and personal anecdotes. He rose to significant fame with his viral hit “Fancy Like” in 2021.
Walker Hayes has been associated with several record labels throughout his career. He initially signed with Capitol Records Nashville and later with Monument Records. His hit song “Fancy Like” and albums like “Boom” and “Country Stuff the Album” were released under Monument Records. However, Monument Records ceased operations in April, 2025.
