Tenth Avenue North was a highly influential American contemporary Christian music (CCM) band, formed in 2000 in West Palm Beach, Florida.
Led by lead vocalist and songwriter Mike Donehey, the band became widely recognized for their introspective lyrics, melodic pop-rock sound, and earnest approach to faith-based storytelling. Their music often explored themes of struggle, doubt, grace, and redemption, resonating deeply with a broad audience.
Throughout their two-decade career, Tenth Avenue North released several successful albums, including “Over and Underneath,” “The Light Meets the Dark,” and “Followers,” producing numerous chart-topping singles such as “By Your Side,” “You Are More,” and “Control (Somehow You Want Me).”
The band announced their hiatus in early 2020, playing a farewell tour that concluded in April 2021. Despite their hiatus, their impactful discography continues to be a significant part of contemporary Christian worship and pop music.
