Divine Ikubor, widely known by his stage name Rema, is a Nigerian singer, songwriter, and rapper. Born on 1 May, 2000, in Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria, he is celebrated for his unique sound, often described as “Afrorave,” which blends Afrobeats with elements of trap, pop, and hip-hop. He gained significant recognition with his 2019 song “Dumebi,” and achieved international acclaim with his 2022 single “Calm Down,” which became a global hit.
Rema is signed to Jonzing World, a subsidiary of Mavin Records. He also has a distribution deal with Virgin Music Label & Artist Services and Interscope Records for his international releases. He has released several successful projects, including his debut self-titled EP “Rema,” and his critically acclaimed debut album “Rave & Roses.”
