Prosper Nkomezi is a prominent Rwandan gospel musician, singer, and songwriter, widely recognized for his powerful voice and spiritually uplifting songs. Born in 1995, Prosper has emerged as a rising star in the East African gospel scene. His Rwandan nationality and Christian upbringing have deeply influenced his musical path.
From a young age, Prosper displayed a passion for music—famously breaking a jar to hide a radio inside just so he could listen to songs. This early devotion evolved into a lifelong pursuit. He grew up learning piano and was later baptized in 2013 at Zion Temple Church, led by Apôtre Dr. Paul Gitwaza, a spiritual milestone that further solidified his commitment to gospel ministry.
His solo music career officially took off in 2017 with the breakthrough hit “Sinzahwema” (also known as “Amamara”), a song that quickly earned him national and regional acclaim. Since then, Prosper has released several impactful singles such as “Humura,” “Nzayivuga,” “Urarinzwe,” and “Ibasha Gukora.”
In addition to singles, Prosper has also dropped full-length albums including “Nzakingura” and “Nyigisha”, showcasing his growth as an artist and worship leader. His music, available on all major digital platforms, is characterized by deep messages of faith, hope, and divine encouragement, resonating with listeners across Rwanda and the broader gospel community.
Beyond the studio, Prosper Nkomezi is known for organizing concerts and worship events, often collaborating with other gospel musicians to minister to multitudes through song.
