Artist Overview
John Wilds is an American contemporary Christian musician, worship leader, and songwriter who has become a prominent voice in the global worship community. His musical journey began at the age of six with the piano, and by seventeen, he was already leading worship. With over two decades of experience serving the local church, Wilds rose to international recognition after joining the Bethel Music Collective in 2021. He made his collective debut with the song “Forever Be Praised” on the 2022 album Simple and has since been featured on major projects including Jesus Image’s JESUS (Live) and Brooke Ligertwood’s solo albums.
His ministry is characterized by a focus on spontaneous worship and a deep commitment to fostering an atmosphere where people can have a personal encounter with God. Wilds currently serves as the Worship Pastor at Legacy Nashville in Tennessee, having previously spent over twelve years leading worship at Calvary Christian Center in Ormond Beach, Florida. His discography includes impactful live recordings such as “Our King Jesus (Holy),” “Way Maker,” and his 2025 EP release, I Want Jesus (Live). Beyond his vocal contributions, he is dedicated to mentoring the next generation of worship leaders and cultivating a culture of genuine, transformative worship within the local church.
In addition to his work with Bethel Music and Jesus Image, Wilds frequently collaborates with various writers and producers across the industry. He resides in Daytona Beach, Florida, with his wife, Natalie, and their three children. His career continues to expand through international tours and speaking engagements where he shares insights on faith and the role of music in ministry. As of early 2026, he remains an active figure in the contemporary worship scene, consistently releasing new music that emphasizes intimacy with God over performance.
