Hlengiwe Ntombela, professionally known as HLE, is a prominent South African gospel singer and songwriter. She was born on 12 April, 1991, in Ekukhanyeni, South Africa. HLE gained initial recognition as a former member of the renowned gospel choir Joyous Celebration before embarking on a highly successful solo career.
HLE is signed to Motown Gospel, a division of Capitol CMG/Universal Music Group, a significant milestone that marked her as the first South African artist to sign a direct global deal with the label. Her music blends contemporary gospel with soulful power, earning her multiple accolades including South African Music Awards. She is also known for launching “The HOW Project” which focuses on the heart of a worshiper, and for hosting television shows like “Adlib” and “VIP Invite.”
