Dr. Selinah Winnie Mashaba is a highly respected South African gospel singer, television presenter, and businesswoman. She was born on 1 April, 1981, in the village of Kgoši Phasha, Steelpoort, Limpopo, South Africa. Dr. Mashaba is renowned for her powerful vocals and for popularizing Sepedi gospel music, often blending traditional sounds with contemporary arrangements.
She is associated with Tswako Music Projects, a company she established to manage her music publishing rights and events. Dr. Mashaba has released numerous successful albums since her debut “Exodus 20” in 2000, and has received multiple awards and nominations, including from the South African Music Awards (SAMA) and Crown Gospel Awards. She also holds an Honorary Doctorate from Trinity International Bible University for her contributions to music and society.
