Daniel Nwosu Jr., known professionally as Dax, is a Canadian rapper, singer, and songwriter. Born on 22 March, 1994, in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada, to Nigerian immigrant parents, he later grew up in Ottawa. Before pursuing music full-time, he was a successful college basketball player and worked as a janitor, during which time he cultivated his passion for poetry and rap. He is recognized for his unique lyrical style, which often addresses personal struggles, mental health, faith, and societal issues, blending hip-hop, R&B, country rap, and Christian hip-hop.

Dax initially released music independently under his own label, Daniel Dax Entertainment, and later with Living Legends Entertainment. He signed with RECORDS (Records, LLC) and Columbia Records in 2022, which are divisions of Sony Music Entertainment.
