David Nkennor is a Nigerian Christian musician, worship leader, and songwriter. Born in the early 1980s to Reverend and Pastor (Mrs.) Raymond Nkennor, he grew up in Lagos, Nigeria, among five singing siblings, immersing himself in church music from a young age. He began his singing career in 1998 as part of an a cappella group called “Babys Heart,” gaining popularity on university campuses and at churches across Nigeria. He is recognized for his soulful melodies, heartfelt lyrics, and a blend of traditional gospel with contemporary Christian sounds, making his music uplifting and inspirational. He is also the author of “The Music Code of God,” a book on music ministry.
David Nkennor primarily releases his music independently. His albums, such as “Worship Is W.I.D.E (What I Do Every Time)” (2009) and “Worship Is W.I.D.E 2” (2015), as well as numerous singles like “Father” (2025) and “THAT GENERATION (Live From The Song Of Sons Project)” (2025), are widely available on various digital streaming platforms. He also heads “Worship Culture,” a team of independent worship leaders who minister with him at concerts, and he is a member of The Worshippers Collective. He currently serves as a music pastor at the Manifold International Church in Lagos, Nigeria.
