Darrel McGlothen Walls is an American gospel singer, songwriter, and producer. Born on 8 February, 1991, in Houston, Texas, he is widely recognized as the oldest member of the Grammy-nominated urban contemporary gospel quartet, The Walls Group. He is celebrated for his powerful vocals and significant contributions to the group’s acclaimed albums.
Beyond his work with The Walls Group, Darrel Walls has also pursued solo endeavors, releasing his own music and collaborating with various artists. The Walls Group, which also includes his siblings Rhea, Alic “Paco,” and Ahjah, has been associated with record labels such as Fo Yo Soul Recordings (founded by Kirk Franklin) in partnership with RCA Records, and later My Block Inc. Darrel Walls continues to be an influential voice in gospel music.
