Benjamin Dube is a highly acclaimed South African gospel artist, singer, and songwriter. Born on 23 January, 1962, in Johannesburg, South Africa, he grew up in a musical and religious family, which sparked his interest in music at a young age. He began his solo career in 1986 with the hit single “Holy Spirit.” Dube is recognized for his powerful vocals and for being a pioneer of the praise and worship genre in South Africa. He is also a pastor and has mentored numerous musicians.
Benjamin Dube is the founder and CEO of his own record label, Dube Connection Enterprise, which is licensed to Sony Music and Spirit Music Group. He has released a prolific discography of albums, many of which have achieved gold and platinum status in South Africa. He is also known as the founder of the popular “Spirit of Praise” live recording series and has received multiple South African Music Awards and Crown Gospel Music Awards for his work.
