Benita Jones (formerly Benita Washington) is an American gospel singer, songwriter, and worship leader. Born on April 23, 1976, in Selma, Alabama, she is a Stellar Awards nominee and a prominent figure in contemporary gospel music. She previously married Delvin Washington in 2001, but they divorced in 2017.

Benita Jones’s music is in the Contemporary Gospel and Worship genres. She rose to national prominence as the winner of the Gospel Music Channel’s first Gospel Dream competition in 2003. Her debut album, Hold On (2004), was a Billboard Top Ten success, which also earned her a Soul Train “Lady of Soul” nomination. Her music is characterized by powerful, soulful vocals and deeply spiritual messages, with popular songs including “Way Maker,” “Thank You,” and “Good God.”
