Athoms Mbuma (full name Guelord Mbuma Nkanda), born on April 5, 1983, in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of the Congo, is a multifaceted gospel minister known as a pastor, worship leader, teacher, and musician. As the senior pastor of Phila City of Hearing Church (Phila Cité d’Exaucement), which has branches in Kinshasa and several cities worldwide, Athoms leads a vibrant ministry focused on music, biblical teaching, and pastoral care—aimed at equipping believers and nurturing deep faith.

He is also the host of “Teach!”, a daily Bible teaching program aired on EMCI TV, through which he shares scriptural insights and spiritual encouragement with a broad audience.

Athoms began his musical journey in 1998 with the gospel group GAEL, where he currently serves as coordinator. Together with his wife, Nadège Mbuma, he released the album Bato ya losambo in 2013 and later Nzembo in 2021. Their music, produced under Maajabu Gospel and other labels, is a rich fusion of gospel, soul, and R&B, marked by uplifting lyrics and heartfelt melodies.

Beyond his music and pastoral work, Athoms is dedicated to education and counseling, having founded a school and earned a Master’s degree in Christian Counseling as well as a Doctorate in Ministry from Mount Olive Institute in North Carolina.
